Kitaa Community Guidelines
These guidelines apply to everyone on Kitaa, users and hosts alike, and everywhere in the app: one-to-one video calls, video rooms, voice rooms, chat messages, profiles and gifts. They are part of our Terms of Service, so you agree to them when you sign in to Kitaa.

1. The basics
- Kitaa is not a dating, escort or companionship service.
- Treat people with respect, as you would face to face.
- The same rules apply in paid one-to-one calls as in rooms that anyone can join.
- Follow the law of the country you are in.
2. No nudity or sexual content
The following are not allowed anywhere on Kitaa, including in paid calls and video rooms:
- Nudity, or showing intimate body parts, even partly.
- Sexual acts, simulated sexual acts or sexual touching.
- Sexually suggestive performances, poses, dances or talk.
- Asking for, offering or paying for any of the above, including in exchange for gifts or coins.
- Escort services, paid dating, or arranging to meet for sex.
Sexual performances online in exchange for payment are a crime in some countries, including the Philippines. We report illegal activity to the authorities.
3. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
We do not tolerate any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children. This includes sexual images, talk or requests involving anyone under 18, grooming, and trying to contact minors. It also includes streaming or live-streaming online sexual abuse or exploitation of children (OSAEC) or child sexual abuse or exploitation material (CSAEM) in calls, video rooms, voice rooms or chat. We remove it, ban the accounts involved and report it to the authorities. Read our Child Safety Standards.
4. Content that is not allowed
You must not host, display, upload, share or send any content that:
- belongs to another person and that you have no right to share;
- is obscene, pornographic or paedophilic; invades another person’s privacy, including bodily privacy; insults or harasses anyone on the basis of gender; is racially or ethnically objectionable; relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling, or is an online game that causes user harm; or promotes enmity between groups on grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;
- is harmful to children;
- infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
- deceives or misleads people about where a message came from, or knowingly and intentionally spreads misinformation or information that is clearly false or misleading;
- impersonates another person;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states or public order; incites any offence; prevents the investigation of any offence; or insults another nation;
- contains a software virus or any other code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functioning of any computer resource;
- is an online game that has not been verified as a permissible online game;
- advertises or promotes an online game that is not a permissible online game, or a platform offering such a game;
- breaks any law currently in force.
This list follows India’s Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. It applies to all users in every country.
5. Harassment and harm to others
- Harassment, bullying, threats or hate speech.
- Doxxing: sharing someone’s personal information, such as their address, phone number or workplace, to harm or expose them.
- Stalking, or repeatedly contacting someone who does not want contact.
- Sharing intimate images or videos of anyone without their consent, or threatening to.
- Fake or altered images, video or audio (deepfakes) that show someone doing something they did not do, or that impersonate them.
- Encouraging self-harm, suicide or violence.
6. Scams and payments outside Kitaa
- Scams, fraud, phishing, or trying to get someone’s money, passwords or personal data.
- Asking anyone to pay, buy or trade outside Kitaa, including paying a host directly.
- Selling, buying or trading coins, gifts or accounts.
- Spam or advertising.
7. No recording without consent
Do not record, screenshot or share anyone’s calls or live streams without their consent. Kitaa does not record calls or rooms, but another person could record their screen with a different device. If someone records or shares your call without your consent, report it.
8. Rules for hosts
Hosts must follow all of these guidelines, and also:
- Keep profile photos and bios free of nudity and of sexually suggestive poses or wording.
- Never ask for gifts or coins in exchange for any performance, act or favour.
- Do not share contact details or social media accounts, and do not ask users to move to another app or platform.
- Do not pressure users into calling or sending gifts.
When a host breaks these rules, we may deduct host points, including the points earned from the calls and gifts involved, and remove host status, in addition to the actions in What happens when rules are broken.
9. Reporting and blocking
You can report someone during or after a call, in a video room or voice room (including anyone on a seat), from their chat message, and from a host’s profile (open it from the Discover page). Help shows where to tap. Choose the reason that fits best and add details:
- Harassment or bullying: insults, threats, hate, stalking, or sharing someone’s personal details to harm or expose them.
- Sexual content: nudity, sexual acts or sexual talk, or asking for any of these, including in exchange for gifts or coins.
- Intimate images or impersonation: sharing, or threatening to share, intimate images or videos of someone without their consent; pretending to be someone else, including with fake or altered images, video or audio (deepfakes).
- Scam or fraud: scams, asking for money or payment outside Kitaa, or selling coins, gifts or accounts.
- Underage user: someone who seems to be under 18.
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation: anything that sexually abuses, exploits or endangers a child, including grooming and sexual talk with or about a child.
- Something else: anything else that breaks these guidelines. Tell us what happened in the details.
When you report from a room, we also save a copy of the room’s latest 50 chat messages at that moment, so that our team can see what was said.
Anyone, including people who do not use Kitaa, can also report by email to [email protected].
You can block someone from the same places. After that, neither of you can call the other, and they no longer appear in your host list. You can unblock people in Me → Settings → Safety → Blocked accounts.
What happens after you report:
- We acknowledge reports within 24 hours and resolve them within 7 days.
- Reports of intimate images shared without consent, or of impersonation, are acted on within 2 hours.
- Reports of child sexual abuse or exploitation are handled before everything else.
- Reports are reviewed by people. We look at the chat message you reported, the copy of the room’s chat saved with the report and the call records linked to it. We have no video or audio, because we do not record.
- We do not tell the person you reported who reported them.
10. What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, warn you, suspend or permanently ban your account, remove host status, or deduct host points. These actions take effect immediately.
Illegal activity may be punished under the law. We report crimes that must be reported, such as child sexual exploitation, to the authorities.
To appeal a decision, email [email protected]. See Complaints and appeals.
